Not at all! In fact, many people who start off with light hair end up dying their roots dark!! I actually find it to be a somewhat edgier and more vamped up look! Seriously so in right now :)

Well if your hair is dark at all, the first thing you’ll probably need is bleach. But then comes the fun part!!- color :) I’m in no shape or form a professional, but in my opinion I’d say if you wanted a gradient to dye just the tips first and let that sit for half the time you’re dying your hair with the color, and then gradually work your way up with more color for the other half of the time. This way, the ends you saturated first will be given more time to soak in the color, hopefully giving you a nice gradient :) Hope this helps!!
